For fashion, art and design, September is when the season really starts.
September has always been a busy month, but in fashion, art, design and luxury, it is particularly packed. The summer calendar gives way to a new season of collections, fairs, races and international events.
New York, Venice, Seoul, Cannes, London, Milan, Monaco and Paris will all be on the map this month. Some dates are familiar, others are becoming increasingly important. Together, they offer a good picture of what the next few months will look like.

US Open
August 30 – September 13 New York
The last Grand Slam of the tennis season returns to Flushing Meadows. Two weeks of matches bring some of the biggest names in tennis to New York, with the final weekend closing out the tournament.
Venice International Film Festival
September 2-12 Venice
Venice is one of the first major stops of the autumn film calendar. Over twelve days, the Lido hosts premieres, directors, actors and some of the films expected to feature heavily during awards season.
Frieze Seoul & Kiaf Seoul
September 2-5 Seoul
Seoul’s art calendar gets busy in early September as Frieze Seoul and Kiaf Seoul take place at COEX. Galleries and collectors from across Asia and beyond will be in the city, alongside a wider programme of exhibitions and events.
Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix
September 4-6 Monza
Monza is one of Formula 1’s most historic circuits and one of the races fans look forward to every year. The Italian Grand Prix brings the championship back to Italy for a weekend of racing and the unmistakable atmosphere of the tifosi.
Cannes Yachting Festival
September 8-13 Cannes
The Cannes Yachting Festival returns to the French Riviera with boats on display at Vieux Port and Port Canto. Builders, brokers, owners and buyers will gather to see new launches and the latest models.
New York Fashion Week
September 10-15 New York
Fashion month begins in New York with the Spring/Summer 2027 collections. The shows bring designers, editors, buyers and celebrities together, while the city itself becomes part of the fashion story.
Paris Design Week
September 10-19 Paris
Paris Design Week spreads across the city for ten days. More than 500 participants are expected across galleries, showrooms and other spaces, with both established names and younger studios taking part.
London Fashion Week
September 17-21 London
London follows New York on the fashion calendar. The week is known for its mix of established houses and younger designers, with a strong focus on new ideas and emerging talent.
Milan Fashion Week
September 22-28 Milan
Milan brings the Spring/Summer 2027 collections to the runway later in the month. The major Italian houses will be joined by a wider programme of events across the city.
Monaco Yacht Show
September 23-26 Monaco
Port Hercule hosts the Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September. The event focuses on the superyacht market, bringing together shipyards, brokers, owners and potential buyers.
Paris Fashion Week
September 28 – October 6 Paris
Fashion month ends in Paris. The city’s major houses will present their Spring/Summer 2027 collections, closing a month that has taken the industry from New York to London and Milan.

There is a reason September feels like a fresh start. After the quieter pace of August, the international calendar fills up again almost overnight.
